I got the F-86 and it is a nice little EDF.  Setup is simple, and I was done in one evening.  The stock battery is actually not bad either.  I ordered Turnigy nanotech 25C 1600mah which worked well also.

There is a CG error in the manual.  The measurement should be 3.75" - 4" back from the wing joint.  Also, the aileron throws are too high.  85% travel is good for a high setting, and 55% for low.  I also use 55% expo on aileron and elevator, but this is personal preference.  Use 90% elevator for low rate.

I do not think a bigger battery is required.  Battery consumption for 6 minutes of fun flight (1/2 to full throttle) was less than 1300 mah.  So 5 minutes of sport flying will be easy on your batteries.

I did 10 laps of mock racing (full throttle straights with 2/3 throttle turns) and only burned 700 mah of my battery.  So a 1600 mah battery is a good size.

I also applied a piece of packing tape from tip to tail on the belly.  This made for smooth landings, and the foam did not even scratch!!  What a fun plane!
