Field Day is this Saturday from 9-12 followed by open flying.  As we are continuously trying to improve our field, there are a few activities we need to complete this spring and we need your help.  Please see below for a list of activities and tentative lead POCs for each activity - POCs, please email me or call to confirm your ability to support.  Please let me know if you'll be able to make it and/or if you have any other ideas on what we should try to accomplish.

    *
      Replace top on Red cabinet (Bob Burnett)
    * Bring mower to field and place into shed  (Allen Webb)
    * Mow field (Allen Webb)
    * Roll field, pits, and road weather permitting (Steve Insalaco)
    * Misc field cleanup - bring shovels and rakes (all)
    * Install hasp and lock on shed (Mark Franke)
    * Apply additional seed to bare areas as needed (Ken Bassett)
    * Update signage (Mark Franke and Luther)
    * Replace windsock (Mark Franke to bring windsock)
    * Stake out area for 12'x26' aluminum shelter (Steve Insalaco)
    * Examine road to determine urgency and need of moving forward with putting down a fabric mat and stone (Burnett and Insalaco)
    * Place white board and mailbox to hold white board marker at gate.  This will be used to put name and # of first to enter the field so guests can call and be escorted back.  (Mark Franke to bring material)
    * Bring plane to fly! (all)

Thanks to all those who helped out today!  We had a great turnout (~ 15) and were able to accomplish a ton: sealed the floor and doors of the shed; installed a hasp for the pad lock; rolled the road, parking lot and field with a huge 15 ton roller; reseeded bare areas; cleaned up a few things; and got some planes in the air. 

The 12'x26' shelter should be up sometime in May, just in time to provide relief from the summer sun.  Our field really is looking great, go out and enjoy it!
