Members,
The Air and Space Museum Tour is scheduled for this Saturday beginning at 11 AM. Anyone wishing to car pool can meet at  Hobby Hanger at 10:15. We will leave the parking lot promptly at 10:30.

Please do not park directly in front of the Hobby Hanger store. There is plenty of parking to the left, on the side parking lot of their building.

If you wish to drive directly to the Museum parking is $15.00

We will meet at the Welcome Center sponsored by Bombardier on the entrance level the Museum. Please wear a club shirt or hat if you have one. The tour will last approximately 2 hours beginning at 11 AM.No food or beverages are allowed in the Museum except bottled water. There is a McDonald's inside.

We will have two tour guides.

We had a great turnout on Saturday for the tour of the Udvar Hazy museum.

Hi all,
I attended this event also and it was very informative, especially seeing the Wright Flyer reproduction. It looks metallic but in fact it is made of wood, coated with a powdered aluminum finish lacquered over the wood.  It is a later Wright model, I think it was 1910 or 1911 where the Wrights made several improvements to their basic design, including putting the elevator in the back instead of the front. The engine is an original Wright artifact restored. An interesting fact is that the pilot pushed the control stick forward or back for left/right wing-warping for turns.
