There will be an outdoor fly in at the winery on October 16. This airfield is been specially mowed for us and is located at the winery of Dr. George Bazacos in Hillsboro. Previous events have been well attended . Flying will be from from 11 AM till 4 PM. There are no size or decibel restrictions. However, as alway must comply with AMA standards. So join us at the winery for a great time with large-scale and small-scale planes. Directions will be on the web.

Sept 24th, is the annual NVRC Fall Fun Fly. The weatherman says the rain will be gone and promises partly sunny sky's with temps in the 70's. Plan now to come on out. Events will include a taxi race, touch and go's, timed flight, and loops/rolls, and of course, a spot landing. If time permits, we'll try a limbo event. Mark is planning to fire up the grill so bring your appetite. Sign in starts at 09:00 and flying at 10:00. See ya there.

We're just about a month away from the annual Fall NVRC Auction. It's on Saturday, Oct 22nd, at Woodson High School in Fairfax. Plan now on comming out to support your club. As before, doors open at 8:00AM and the auction starts at 10AM. I will need some help as runners and manning the fixed price table. Bob Burnett is managing the auctioneers, if you want to help, let him know. Clean out your old stuff and buy some new stuff. Last time we had some great LOW prices on some good stuff. I've attached a flyer for the event.

Used Saito 82 ACC (new case version) 4 stroke with muffler for sale. $75 (i'll throw in the tank with 3 line plumbing and glow plug extension wire), small dent on the left tube but still runs fine.

Bash is rescheduled for 3 and 4 sept due to hurricane Irene

Cool Deal. So far i know of just Bob F and I going. Not sure what time we plan on getting there on Sat. We will hopefully have a generator for power if we can't get to a hard source. We also plan on cooking up some break fast Sunday morning. I'll email you guys.
